Lincoln County Firefighter’s MeetingHarrisburg Fire DepartmentWednesday, March 17, 2009, 7:00 p.m. Tanker/Trailer training class put on by STS Meeting called to order by President Jayme Adrian at 9:20 p.m.Treasurer’s Report of $1,379.36 was approved.Minutes of previous meeting read and were approved.  

OLD BUSINESS:  Harold has picked up the reflective tape and has it already installed on both county trailers.  Steve Oberly informed us that his dad is doing quite well and recuperating from his aneurism surgery.   The central repeater is up and working. Tea and the south tower area were informed that communications is working on improving their reception.  The pages are coming across slower and easier to hear.     

NEW BUSINESS:  SE District Fire School to be held in Yankton April 24, 25 and 26.  Harold passed out flyers for storm watchers classes to be held in Beresford on April 22 and in Sioux Falls on May12.  Poet has donated a hazmat trailer to the county. Harold picked it up and brought it to the Harrisburg Fire Station where it will be kept.  Harold reminded all departments to check with their rural boards to make sure that they are receiving their funding.   We need to be aware that we have departments in the county that have ropes and harnesses for rescue needs.  Harrisburg Fire Dept. has Zoel defribulators that they will give to anyone who needs one.  They also have an older 2,000 gallon drop tank if anyone needs one.       Toby made motion to adjourn and was seconded by Jeff. Motions carried.    Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
