These are the meeting minutes from the business meeting held on Wednesday March 21st at Centerville Fire Department.

Meeting called to order by President Robb Boettcher

Treasurer’s Report: $2,488.38 was approved as read.

Old Business:
The web site for Lincoln County Fire County Firefighter’s has been set up. The name of the site is lincolncountyemergencyservices.org. Don McLeer from the Tea Fire Department set it up and will maintain it if required. It may be used for training bulletins, public relations, Lincoln County minutes etc.

Southeast District will be held at Tea middle school on Sunday April 29. Registration is from 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 A.M.

Robb reported on the commissioner’s meeting. The commission would like the fire departments to set-up a goal to meet for the next years in regard to money required.

Harold from emergency management presented 3 dates for the Incident Command class to be held in may. The firefighter’s chose May 7-9 for I.C. Class 300. Harold would like a list of I-C 100 200 and 700 from all departments who have taken the classes

New Business:
James Miles resignation was read as Secretary Treasurer of Lincoln County Firefighter’s.
Motion to accept by Steve Oberlee seconded by Russ Haggen motion carried. Motion by Dan Fink to table nomination for new secretary treasurer until May meeting at Fairfew Fire Department.

Nomination for 1 director was asked for: Brian Severson from Canton Fire was nominated. Motion be Russ seconded by Steve. Motion nominations cease by Dan Fink seconded by Jayme. Brian is the new director from 2007-2009.

Todd from Communications reported the new digital tower by Beresford should be completed by July 2007.

Harold asked that an updated list of rural fire boards be sent to the auditor with the treasure’s for more money available in the amount of $24,000.00

The water rescue will be held at Canton Fire, no date has been set as of yet. Also no date has been set for a  northern county emergency drill

Robb reported on Wildland Fire Training to be hosted by Platte Fire Department
Crew Boss S-230:  Saturday March 31, Sunday April 1, and Saturday April 14th (3 days)
S231Engine Boss: May 15(1 day) *Task books are required and updated.

Robb reported that Firefighter 1 and 2 will need more practicals to be completed by the student after the test is taken .The person who issues the test will present what is required
