L.C. FF meeting PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jayme Adrian
Monday, 19 May 2008

The meeting for the month has been moved to Beresford. We are doing a joint meeting/training with Union county fire departments on underground gas lines running in their county and ours. Natural gas lines like the one that feeds the storage sit just west of Canton. We will have a meal at 7 and the training at 7:30 and then our Lincoln county FF meeting to follow asap so we can all get home half way early.

I have heard there will be some things that willbe discussed and ALL departments need to hear and put in their two cents also. New and some old business, I hope all departments will show up so we can hear from everybody and if are some motions and votes for change-majority rules. Some departments are pretty lack a daisy for these meetings and I also would like to see that changed. There is so much happening with the fire services now-a-days we all need to keep up with those things and also to try to keep up with the basics also.

So i am hoping we  (lincoln county) will have a good turn out for this training and then our meeting that follows.  Hopefully we can have a better turn out then what we had in Harrisburg for the Southeastern South Dakota Fire School.

Jayme Adrian-- Lincoln County FF Association President

Remembering Tim PDF Print E-mail
Written by Tea Fire 26
Thursday, 15 November 2007

We were informed today of Tim Steinfadts death due to pneamonia.  Tim has been a long time supporter of not only the Tea Fire Department, but many others in the area.  Tim is best known for his dedication with fire prevention, and preventing needless deaths.  Tim had a huge heart.  I remember when he left for Wisconsin.  He saw me right before he left.  He wanted everyone to carry on his passion for the fire service.  I won't forget his tearing eyes and huge hug he gave me before he drove away. That was the last time I saw him.  This is a reminder that life is short, and we can be taken off this earth at anytime.  My hats off to Chief Robb Boettcher for the moment of silence tonight.  This was a good time to spend remembering a friend, mentor, and a very dedicated person to the fire service.  Everyone stay safe, and remeber the lives Tim touched!  Good bye Tim.  God bless.
